01 · The class

Thirty of us, one room

We've been together since Year 3, and by now we know each other's handwriting, lunch habits, and best jokes. This year we're the oldest in the school, which means responsibilities, a few privileges, and a lot of looking after the little ones in the playground.

  • 01Class captain and vice-captain are elected in September
  • 02We run the school council and the tuck shop rota
  • 03Buddy pairs with the new Year 1s every morning

02 · The year

Three terms, one long goodbye

Autumn

Settling in

New teacher, new routines, and the first trip of the year.

Spring

The push

SATs practice, the science fair, and rehearsals for the show.

Summer

The big week

SATs, the leavers' show, and the final trip before we go.

03 · Leavers'

Before we go

By July we'll have handed over the classroom, said goodbye to the teachers who've watched us grow, and walked out of the gates for the last time. It's a lot to pack into one year - but that's exactly why it's the biggest one yet.

See you on the other side, secondary school.
